Heidi Montag: Her Co-stars Worry About Teen Viewers

January 21, 2010 :: Posted by - Amalia :: Category - Celebrity Gossip, celebrity sightings

Heidi Montag is no stranger to plastic surgery. Her co-stars weigh in, especially now that Heidi says she wants to go to an H cup.

After spending 10 hours under the knife to get 10 different plastic surgery procedures and saying she is “beyond obsessed” with plastic surgery and changing her look, Heidi Montag is changing her tune.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Montag says she doesn’t have a problem with her self-image and that her surgical improvements are just part of her job description. “I’m in a different industry and I have to do things that are going to make me happy at the end of the day,” she said on the show.

“I’m living in my skin, and I look in the mirror and it’s my career and my life, and you only have one. So, I want to take advantage of everything and be the best me, in and out, every way.” But her co-stars disagree.

In 2007, Celebrity-Gossip.net said revenge had motivated her to get a nose job and breast augmentation that took her from an A to C cup. Then in late 2009 she had the 10-procedure megasurgery performed without telling her family or co-stars. The list of improvements included breast revision, nose revision, botox, brow lift, cheek injections, butt augmentation, chin reduction, neck liposuction, ears pinned, and liposuction on waist, hips and thighs.

Hills alum Lo Bosworth says Montag’s behavior is not the norm. “I hope that girls don’t read the article, look at the decisions that Heidi made, and think that’s normal,” she told People.com.  “She was quoted as saying that every celebrity in Hollywood has these procedures done, every day… and that’s just not true. I would never want young girls to read that and think it’s the standard that they need to be measured by.”

Audrina Patridge, who previously told People she didn’t care what Montag did, agreed that her actions did send the wrong message to The Hills’ teen viewership. “I just hope that the girls who look up to us and watch us don’t look at what Heidi did as the only way to be successful and beautiful.”

But no matter what her co-stars say, the not-obsessed Heidi is determined to get more done, telling Extra she is happy with her current size, but wants to go still bigger for the most personal of reasons.  “I like the F. I actually want H for Heidi.”

Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler a couple? Golden Globes appearance news

January 18, 2010 :: Posted by - Amalia :: Category - Celebrity Gossip, Movie Gossip, TV Gossip, celebrity sightings

The latest celebrity gossip news seems to speculate that Hollywood hotties Jennifer Aniston and Gerard  Butler are romantically linked.  The two are co-stars of an upcoming film “The Bounty Hunter”, and there’s been unconfirmed reports that the two single celebs were having a relationship on the side.  The potential couple appeared on stage at a recent awards show which raised more attention about the rumors.

Both actors have denied the reports, but when they recently appeared on the 2010 Golden Globes show together, speculation started up once again.  They presented the award for Best Screenplay which went to “Up in the Air”.  The couple presented the award in a rather straight and serious manner, leading many spectators to continue wondering if there is a relationship going on.

Jennifer Aniston has previously been linked with Brad Pitt and within the past several years, Vince Vaughn.  Gerard Butler who’s known for his shirtless, chiseled role in the hit movie “300″ was reportedly spending a lot of time with supermodel Naomi Campbell in 2007.  Now it appears the 38 year-old actor Butler, and the 40 year-old actress, Jen Aniston may be a couple.  The cute, catchy couple names for Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler can already begin forming..”Gerardifer” sounds good although “Jennifard”, and “Anistutler” sound quite odd!

Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan’s car hit a photographer who has decided to take legal action against them.

Fortunately for her, the 23-year-old actress was not driving the car herself, but her driver might face legal trouble, reported TMZ online.

The incident took place at 12:30am in Hollywood on Sunday. Lohan’s driver was behind the wheel of her BMW when it made contact with the paparazzo.

The ‘Mean Girls‘ star didn’t even have a chance to buckle up before her driver gunned it down and hit the photographer, who suffered injuries to his hand and was tended to by the ambulance that arrived on scene. He didn’t need to be taken to the hospital for further treatment.

But the slightly injured man is not taking it slightly and is determined to go legal.

“Of course I’m going to sue them… but I don’t care about the money,” he said adding that he is “lucky to be alive”.

Beware the celebrity quacks: Megan Fox says vinegar will keep you slim

January 04, 2010 :: Posted by - Amalia :: Category - Celebrity Gossip, Movie Gossip, celebrity sightings

megan-fox-pictures1

Megan Fox and Cindy Crawford swear that vinegar is the key to staying slim, while Shilpa Shetty claims fizzy drinks cause wrinkles and Roger Moore warns that foie gras may give you a terminal illness.

Scientists have warned against the increasing number of celebrities who have used their high profile status to publicise a string of spurious theories on how to stay young, slim, beautiful and healthy.

The charity has singled out the worst offenders, including Transformers actress Miss Fox and Black Eyed Peas singer Stacy Ferguson, who extol the virtues of vinegar as a dieting and detoxing aid.

Miss Fox said this year: “It just cleanses out your system entirely. It will get rid of, for women who retain water weight from your menstrual cycle and all that, it gets rid of it really fast.

“I’m not one for dieting or exercising, ’cause I’m lazy and I have a really big sweet tooth, so I have to do cleanses every once in a while ’cause of the amount of sugar I take in.”

Lucy Jones, a dietitian with the Whittington NHS Trust in London, said: “As attractive as it sounds, there is no magic pill, lotion or potion for a quick fix to weight loss. The body, including the liver, is a well-oiled detoxing machine, which will not be improved by vinegar, whether it be organic, apple cider, unfiltered, or your bog-standard malt vinegar.”

Also criticised is Roger Moore, who claimed that eating foie gras can cause Alzheimer’s, diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis, and is “a tasty way of getting terminally ill”.

Commenting on the actor’s claims, Miss Jones said: “No single food should be looked at in isolation or attributed to causing any disease or curing one.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s views on the dangers of pesticides in foods have also come under the spotlight.

Dr John Cherrie, of the Institute of Occupational Medicine, said: “Gwyneth misses the point that it is the dose that makes the poison. The amounts in our food are very low and there is no evidence of any ill-effects.”

Ellen Raphael, of Sense About Science, which offers to coach celebrities as part of its drive to increase the public’s understanding of science, said: “People in the public eye have disproportionately “loud” voices, and with the internet misleading claims live on for a long time.

“This is an open invitation for celebrities to get in touch with scientists to check the facts before speaking out on subjects they know little about.”

Brittany Murphy’s father says daughter was an ‘absolute doll’

December 21, 2009 :: Posted by - Amalia :: Category - Celebrity Gossip, Movie Gossip, celebrity sightings

The father of Brittany Murphy, the actress who died aged 32 due to cardiac arrest, has paid tribute to his “absolute doll” of a daughter.

Mr Bertolotti, who divorced Murphy’s mother Sharon when the actress was young, said he had not seen her in the past few years and learned of her death through his son.

“She was just an absolute doll since she was born,” Bertolotti said from his Florida home. “Her personality was always outward. Everybody loved her — people that made movies with her, people on a cruise — they all loved her. She was just a regular gal.”

Mr Bertolotti, who served time in jail on federal drug charges, added: “She was just talented. And I loved her very much.”

According to celebrity website TMZ, who broke the news of Murphy’s death, the actress’s mother discovered her unconscious in the shower. She was pronounced dead at a hospital in Los Angeles, after going into cardiac arrest at her home. According to the website, Murphy’s mother told paramedics her daughter had a history of diabetes.

Los Angeles police have opened an investigation into Murphy’s death, according to Officer Norma Eisenman. Detectives and coroner’s officials were at the home Murphy shared with her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack.

A spokesman for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center said Murphy died at 10:04am on Sunday. She would not provide a cause of death, or any other information.

A spokesman for Murphy told TMZ: “In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy.”

One neighbour, Clare Staples, said she saw firefighters working to resuscitate the actress on Sunday morning. She said Mr Monjack appeared “dazed”, adding: “It’s just tragic”.

Murphy’s last big role came in 2005 with ‘Sin City‘ although she had appeared in a number of TV shows since, providing voices for cartoons ‘King Of The Hill‘ and ‘Futurama’. In 206, she released the single Faster Kill Pussycat which became a dance club hit.

She is due to appear in Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming film, “The Expendables,” set for release next year.

She married Mr Monjack, a British writer and director, at their home in Los Angeles, in 2007 in a small Jewish ceremony. He co-wrote and co-produced Factory Girl, which starred Sienna Miller.

Murphy became a household name following her role in Clueless, where she played the role of Tai, the girl Alicia Silverstone’s character takes under her wing.

Ashton Kutcher, who co-starred with her in Just Married, wrote on his Twitter feed: “2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon.

“See you on the other side kid.”

Bankruptcy Of Restaurants ‘Not An Option’ For TV Chef Ramsay

December 14, 2009 :: Posted by - Amalia :: Category - Celebrity Gossip, celebrity sightings

gordon_ramsay

A year ago this month, KPMG recommended that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay declare bankruptcy for his London-based Gordon Ramsay Holdings Ltd., fire hundreds of people and close all but its best-performing restaurants. But, as William Green reports, that would have been a public relations nightmare for the star of “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares” and “The F Word.” And Ramsay knew it.

“There was no f—ing way that was ever going to happen,” he says. “That was never even an option.”

The 43-year-old Scot has also published two autobiographies and lent his name to 23 cookbooks, placing him at the vanguard of a generation of celebrity chefs with so many business interests that they barely cook, writes Green. “He’s perhaps the most media-enhanced chef in history,” according to Bill Guilfoyle, a restaurant marketing expert at the Culinary Institute of America.

So Ramsay and his business partner and father-in-law, Chris Hutcheson, restructured the business, leaving the chef to do what he really does best — TV — despite his widely acknowledged skills over a hot stove. “He can’t walk the streets of New York without people shouting and screaming,” says Mike Darnell, Fox’s president of alternative entertainment. “He’s like a rock star.”
